Hello! Happy Monday! Welcome to our Mommy Monday feature for this week! Each week, we interview a mom business owner and get to know her a little better! We like to find out how she balances life with children and a business! We also like to hear about the marketing strategies that are working for her! Hopefully, this provides a little bit of inspiration to all of the other hard working moms out there! If you’d like to be considered for this feature, send us an e-mail! We’d love to learn about your business, too!

Today’s mom entrepreneur is Cynthia Mock.

What is your business?
Adorable Baby Clothing

When did you start your business?

What services/products do you offer?
At Adorable Baby Clothing you’ll find traditional, classically styled children’s formal wear like boys suits and tuxedos, flower girl dresses, christening gowns and suits, first communion dresses.  I also feature personalized clothing and  LeTop casual wear for boys and girls.

How do you balance family and business?
That one’s easy—my daughters are grown, but I do get to babysit my grandchildren, so when they’re here, which is usually a Friday or Saturday night, they are my focus.

What advice do you have for other mom entrepreneurs?
When you’re a business owner it can literally take over your life. Be sure it’s something you love, and are willing to spend more hours on than you ever imagined!  It’s also important to plan and budget your money very carefully, because now it’s up to you to pay the bills when they come due!

How do your market your business?
I typically use emails to my customer list as well as my Facebook page and Twitter (@ABCClothing).  I have run ads on Facebook, which I plan to do in the near future again.  I’ve used Twitter and AdWords by Google, but the ROI was not worth all the money I spent.  Marketing an online business is always a challenge!  I’ve also used networking, and giveaways through Mom blogs.
