Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY STATES AND D.C., AGE 18 OR OVER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. CONTEST SPONSOR. The S.T.A.R. Mom Entrepreneur Award contest ("the Contest") is sponsored by Market Mommy. ("the SPONSOR").
2. HOW TO ENTER. The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on January 16, 2012, and entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on February 29, 2012. To enter, go to http://www.marketmommy.com/nominations and complete your entry following the online instructions. Only one (1) entry per person. There is no fee to submit an entry. By submitting an entry to the Contest, each entrant agrees to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and acknowledges that the decisions of the SPONSOR shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.
If nomating someone other than yourself, you hereby gaurantee that you have that person's exclusive permission to do so.
3. ELIGIBILITY. To be eligible for the ‘S.T.A.R. Mom Entrepreneur Award’, the nominee must be a legal resident of the fifty United States from the contest starting date to its end date and be age 18 and over. Nominees must meet the following criteria:
a. Own and operate a business in the United States.
b. Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business
c. Be a mother, biological, step, foster, adopted or otherwise.
Any individuals who have, within six (6) months prior to the start date of the Contest or thereafter, been employed by or performed services (including but not limited to as employees, consultants, independent contractors or interns) for SPONSOR or The Mogul Mom, The Work at Home Woman or Juice Box Consulting, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or win. The SPONSOR reserves the right to verify and confirm entrants' ages and compliance with other eligibility requirements. Entrants may be required to submit further information to assist in the judges' verification of eligibility.
4. WINNER SELECTION. Judging will commence at the time the Contest begins and continue until all entries submitted prior to the Contest end time have been reviewed. The Contest judges shall be such person(s) as may be selected by the SPONSOR from time to time in its sole discretion (the "Judge"). The Judges will use a predetermined scoring mechanism to judge entries on creativity, work/family balance, and success. One winner and up to five honorable mentions will be selected based on those recieving the highest scores. The Contest Winner will be notified on or about March 30, 2012. The Contest Winner may be required to sign and return within five (5) business days of receipt a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and any other documents that SPONSOR may reasonably require. If the Contest Winner does not reply to any notification within forty-eight (48) hours, or fails to return any required documentation within five (5) business days of delivery to the Contest Winner, such Contest Winner may, in the sole discretion of SPONSOR, be disqualified and an alternate Contest Winner may be selected.
5. PRIZES. The recipient of the S.T.A.R. Mom Entrepreneur Award will receive a prize package valued at approximately $3,500. The package will be comprised of, but not necessarily limited to, items listed here: http://www.marketmommy.com/sponsors.
6. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. By entering the Contest, each entrant grants permission to the SPONSOR to use his/her name, photograph, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information for SPONSOR's publication, publicity, advertising and all other promotional purposes without compensation, review or approval unless prohibited by law. The SPONSOR reserves the right to terminate, modify or suspend this Contest for any reason. SPONSOR is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, mutilated, misdirected, mis-delivered, or delayed entries, or for technical or human errors or failures of any kind in connection with the submission, transmission, processing or judging of entries. All decision(s) of the Contest judges are final with respect to all aspects of the Contest, including, without limitation, eligibility and/or disqualification of entries. All entries are the property of Market Mommy and will not be returned. By entering the Contest, all contestants accept, and agree to abide and be bound by, these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Contest judges.
By entering this Contest, each entrant and purported entrant absolves and releases the Contest and Sponsor from any and all demands, claims, suits or liability of any kind arising out of, or in connection with, any injury, damage or loss to person or property, or related costs or expenses, which may be suffered or incurred by such entrant or purported entrant as a result of participation, or attempted participation, in the Contest, compliance or non-compliance with these Official Contest Rules and/or acceptance and use of the prizes. The Contest and Sponsor shall not bear any liability arising from or in any way related to the Contest, the prizes; and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, assumes no responsibility for: lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, incomplete or misdirected contest entries; any failure of Market Mommy’s website during the Contest Period; any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, facilities or computer equipment or software; any failure of (or delay in) any e-mail or other electronic transmission to be received or sent by the Sponsor or its agents on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site; or any combination of the foregoing, including any injury or damage to any entrant's, purported entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from any person's participation or attempted participation in the Contest, including without limitation use of the Sponsor's website or the sending or receiving of e-mails; and makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning the prizes, and disclaims any implied warranty.
The entrant warrants to the Sponsor and affiliates that the nomination submission does not contravene or infringe on anyone else's copyright or any other intellectual property right.
By completing the online entry form, entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information by the Sponsor. Personal information about entrants collected in connection with this Contest will not be distributed to anyone other than judges and will only be shared with them for the purposes of administering the Contest. The Sponsor will not sell or transmit this information to third parties.
