Win a mamaRoo from LifeBank USA

There’s only one opportunity to save your baby’s stem cells for the future...

As an expectant parent, your baby’s health means everything. Right now, he or she is protected in the womb and will soon enter the world. There is a lot to think about and prepare for, but an invaluable step you can take when your child is born is to preserve his/her stem-cell rich cord and placenta blood The ability of stem cells to save lives via cord blood banking has proven successful for replacing abnormal or diseased cells, and treating life-threatening blood disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.  In fact, since 1988 stem cell transplants have been used to treat some 80 diseases.

As the only company that offers cord blood, placenta blood and tissue banking -- and the first to release placenta-derived stem cells for a successful transplant -- New Jersey-based LifebankUSA is a technological leader that is pioneering key medical innovations in the field.  Owned by the Celgene Corporation, a world-class biopharmaceutical company, LifebankUSA also operates a robust donation program and collects cells from anywhere in the US for use primarily in advancing medical research.

Along with peace of mind, LifebankUSA wants to give parents the chance to win one of the hottest baby items, the 4Moms mamaRoo. With the LifebankUSA mamaRoo Facebook contest we will be giving away TWO 4Moms mamaRoos (valued at $260 each) in a random drawing from entrants in this Facebook contest. The mamaRoo bounces up and down and sways from side to side, just like parents do when comforting their babies. It plays soothing nature sounds and has the option of plugging in your own MP3 player. Enter below for your chance to win the baby item that is on EVERY expectant Mom’s baby shower registry! This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Boogie Wipes Creator Launches “Make Me a Mompreneur” Contest

Enter for a chance to win a mentoring session with Julie Pickens, creator of the multi-million dollar brand, Boogie Wipes

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but as novelist Sue Grafton once said, “Ideas are easy. It's the execution of ideas that really separates the sheep from the goats.”

No words ring truer for entrepreneurs navigating their way through the perils of starting a business.  Fundamentally awesome ideas are indeed a big part of what makes a new business great, but unless you have a solid execution plan, and a team of people dedicated to helping you reach your goals, your idea will stay nothing more than a four-letter word.

To help other mompreneurs, Julie Pickens, CEO and co-founder of Little Busy Bodies, makers of Boogie Wipes, is hosting a contest to find one lucky aspiring mompreneur to share her knowledge of launching and driving a business to extreme levels of success. When the idea for Boogie Wipes came about, Julie her and her team were on to something. But, growing a home business from an idea with a $20,000 start-up budget to a $10 million company was not always easy and Julie is ready to share her experiences to help others rise to the top.

Julie’s Story of Success -

Before starting Little Busy Bodies, Julie was a sales manager for Gallo Winery & Miller Brewing and owned and operated six different franchise locations for Cold Stone Creamery and Wetzel’s Pretzels. Little Busy Bodies officially became a company in May 2007, and the first package of Boogie Wipes was sold in December 2007. The product caught on quickly and sales reached $1 million in the first year despite cash flow challenges, a tiny marketing budget and other bumps in the road. Two years later, in 2009, revenue more than tripled to $3.4 million. In 2010, Julie’s co-founder, Mindee Doney, left Little Busy Bodies to pursue other ventures.

Julie stayed on as CEO and in 2011 - under her leadership - the Little Busy Bodies team catapulted sales to a whopping $10 million and had products in 50,000 stores nationwide including Target, Toys R Us, Walgreens and Walmart. Another win that year, the company’s success caught the eye of executives at Proctor and Gamble. This burgeoning relationship eventually led to Little Busy Bodies partnering with Nehemiah Manufacturing, marketers of Pampers Kandoo. Through the partnership, the two companies plan on leveraging shared expertise to introduce more children’s products while maintaining their commitments to improving their community. Julie relocated Little Busy Bodies from Beaverton, OR to Cincinnati, OH for the partnership.

The Contest -

Supporting Little Busy Bodies’ core values, Julie maintains a vigorous schedule of speaking engagements and call-in chats, all while contributing to the company’s business-themed blog (www.thebusinessofbeingamom.com) in order to share her “mompreneur” knowledge with others while continuing to grow the Little Busy Bodies brand. Now, she is taking it a step further by creating the “Make Me a Mompreneur” contest.

To submit yourself or someone you know for the Little Busy Bodies’ “Make Me Mompreneur” contest please email a 1000-word or less explanation of your business, difficulties you are facing, the success you have had and why you need/deserve a mentoring session with Julie to boogiemoms@boogiewipes.com. One lucky winner will be chosen on August 1, 2012. The winner will receive a daylong mentoring session with Julie in the winner’s hometown.
