World Breastfeeding Week:: Our final product roundup

Tomorrow ends World Breastfeeding Week so today we are posting our last breastfeeding product round up. If you missed the first two, they are here and here. Breastfeeding isn’t always easy, but these ladies and their products help to make it a little easier. If you’ve breastfed your child(ren) and have a story to tell, visit our forum page and join the conversation!

Julie Brannon established Bailey’s Naturals in 1998 when her daughter, Bailey, was 10 months old, nursing and with her at work every day. As an herbalist, she knew how safe and effective herbs could be for mom and baby. “Certain plants have been used for many, many centuries to increase the flow and nutritional quality of breast milk,” she said. She personally used natural medicine and herbs throughout her own pregnancy, natural childbirth experience and the 18 months she breastfed her daughter. “I am interested in empowering Mom's to get their little ones started on "the right foot" when it comes to health and nutrition.”

As a working mother of two, Lois Whittaker, the inventor of Cushie PushieTM was nursing her second child and thought there must be an easier way to breastfeed her son.  Being a busy mom, multitasking occurs even while nursing.  Answering the phone, reading to an older sibling, or just getting a chance to eat are all daily challenges for a breastfeeding mom.  Instead of using both hands and constantly readjusting her breast to keep it in the correct position, Lois thought there had to be a better way.  After many hours trying to come up with the right size and shape, she developed the Cushie Pushie breast support pillow.  With a goal to make breastfeeding easier for new as well as experience moms, Cushie Pushie's aims to provide a quality product for a reasonable cost.
